Hello Beauties' Today I’m so excited to be comparing two best-selling superstar mascaras from cover girl the clump crusher and the lash blast.


I’m going to apply one formula to one eye and one to my other eye so you can see them side by side wear them all day long and declare a winner.
Similarity in packaging:

Let's get started so first off we need to go over similarities between the two formulas these are basically the same packaging just in different colors.

Colors:

They also come in all the same colors they come in a brown a black brown a black and a very black.
I’m using both of these in very black today.

Availability:

They're also available at so many different retailers they're available at drugstores supermarkets grocery stores amazon ultra-also.

Quantity:

Both of these tubes contain the exact same amount of product at 0.44 fluid ounces

Prices:

They both retail for the same amount I bought them each for 6.99 so that means I paid $18 an ounce for these which is a pretty fair price for drugstore mascara.

Clump crusher:

Okay so first off let's go over this clump crusher in the lime green tube here I love this color it's so fun so this one obviously promises no clumps because it's called the clump crusher but they also say that it will give you 20 times more volume than bare lashes.


What they offer:

Cover girl also promises lots of volume and no clumps with both of these mascaras

Shape:

This comes with a curved plastic wand a double-sided brush with lash loading and clump combing zones so bottom line they basically promise volume and separation with no clumping. I just curled my lashes on both sides like I normally do. let's start applying this clump crusher this mascara giving me great separation curl and length and it's only one coat. I’m so excited for the second coat. I’m going to do my bottom lashes wow it even gave great length and coverage to my bottom lashes which I don't normally find with mascara. I’m going to let this dry down about 80 90%. I am loving this so far let's go in with our second coat yeah this is definitely adding a lot of thickness and volume with the second coat.

I’m loving it. I’m going to do the bottom I love how this grabs my bottom lashes actually it gives them so much length which I normally have such a hard time with mascara wands and this is really good As you all can see in this picture. I’m wowed by this length and curl.

Lash blast:

Let’s go over the lash blast volume that's going to stay on this side of my face for the entire day.

What they offer:

They basically promise full voluminous lashes with this that will give you 10 times the volume of your bare lashes and again this one also promises no clumping this wand is also plastic it is a lot thicker with much shorter bristles and the wand just goes straight across with no curving.

Here we go lash blast I’m so excited to see this next to the clump crusher all right so this also gives great separation and some pretty good length. I am kind of a little bit frustrated because this tip is so much thicker than a lot of the mascara wands I’ve used so it kind of gets on my skin so I’m going to clean the excess off my skin let this dry down about 80% and do a second coat. This has given me a lot more length on the second coat I love it okay after that second coat my lashes are looking much more voluminous and they have much more length than just the first coat alone which I’m loving. In this picture you can see them side by side.


All right so here we have them side by side again this is the clump crusher over here and this is the lash blast over here I’m really happy with both of these formulas no wonder they're such hit mascaras so as of right now.

Difference between these two:

I do feel like the lash blast gave me a little more volume but the clump crusher gave me a little more length. I also feel like the clump crusher gave me a little more curl and it coated my bottom lashes flawlessly however with the second coat I’m loving both of these formulas so much. It’s really no wonder that both of these formulas are such hit products for cover girl because they're both amazing.

After eight hours I wore these throughout the day both sides still look really great just like, I don't notice any flaking whatsoever underneath the clump crusher eye however I do notice one tiny little black fleck underneath the lash blast eye. However it is very minimal so the clump crusher added a little bit more length this morning which I’m still seeing my lash blast eyelashes are a little bit flatter less curled and they look a little bit shorter which so it's time to go over key factors and then determine a winner so length. I would give to the clump crusher for sure curl I’m definitely giving to clump crusher as well so for clumpiness. I'm going to say it's a tie between both of them neither one of them clumped like they promised longevity of wear I’m going to give to clump crusher just barely since I did have one fleck on this lash blast eye.

Final Review:

It was almost a tie so for the winner you probably already guessed it. But it is definitely the clump crusher. So I would give this lash blast about a seven out of ten. I would get the clump crusher a nine and a half out of ten. It is so good I’m so impressed with this mascara and it is an amazing option for a drugstore formula under ten dollars I would just like to see a tiny bit more volume and length for it to get a 10 out of 10 but that's very minuscule because I’m so happy with this formula. It is so good the best I’ve ever tried my whole life.
